About BMD

Binghamton Metro Doulas, a full-service doula agency established in 2015, was created to provide families with professional and personalized support.

Our team of experienced and trained professionals serve new and expecting families in the Greater Binghamton Area located in Broome County, New York.

Karina is a strong believer in the power of community and the importance of supporting families. This passion led her to establish Binghamton Metro Doulas in 2015, with a growing team of perinatal professionals that provide education and support during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Karina believes that all parents deserve to feel encouraged, respected, and empowered to make the best choices for their families.

In addition to managing BMD, Karina is a Registered Nurse working with Laboring and Postpartum families. Beyond her professional roles, Karina is actively involved in community organizations, serving as a Leader for the Greater Binghamton Chapter of La Leche League International and a Board Member for Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network.

Recognized for her work in the community, Karina was awarded the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce's HYPE award in the Health and Wellness category in 2021.

A mother of three, Karina understands firsthand the challenges and joys of parenthood. When she's not supporting families, you might find her spending time with her husband and kids, binge-watching a favorite show, or exploring a good book. Karina is honored to serve the families who entrust her with their care and is passionate about helping them thrive during the perinatal period.
